Ring of Honor (ROH) is an American professional wrestling promotion based out of Jacksonville, Florida. The promotion was originally founded by Rob Feinstein on February 23rd, 2002, and was operated by Cary Silkin from 2004-2011, when the promotion was sold to the Sinclair Broadcasting Group (SBG).

Throughout the 2010s, ROH was considered the third largest wrestling promotion in the United States, behind WWE and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), initially operating largely on an internet distribution model. Under the ownership of Sinclair Broadcasting Group, ROH began talent-sharing deals with other wrestling promotions outside of the United States, expanded their television visibility through Sinclair's many broadcasting stations, and eventually established it's very own streaming service in 2018 called HonorClub. But 2019 saw the creation and subsequent rise of All Elite Wrestling (AEW), which was formed with large financial backing, securing a major U.S. television deal and had the ability to run major arenas, thus causing ROH's popularity to decrease. After a deal was struck in March of 2022, ROH was officially sold to AEW's Founder, Co-Owner, President and CEO Tony Khan two months later. 

HISTORY:

2002-2011: Formation of ROH and Early Years:

In April 2001, the pro wrestling video-distribution company RF Video needed a new promotion to lead its video sales when it's best-seller - Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) - went out of business and WWE purchased it's assets. RF Video also videotaped events held by other, less-popular, regional wrestling promotions; it sold these through it's catalog and website. After months of trying to join up with Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), RF Video's owner, Rob Feinstein, decided to fill ECW's void by starting his very own wrestling promotion and distributing its made-for-DVD/VHS productions exclusively through RF Video. The first ever event, The Era of Honor Begins, took place on February 23rd, 2002 in Philadelphia, the former home area of ECW. It featured 9 matches on the card, including a match between Eddie Guerrero and Super Crazy for the IWA Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship and a triple threat match between Christopher Daniels, Bryan Danielson and Low Ki (who would become known as the "founding fathers of ROH"). In it's first year of existence, Ring of Honor confined itself to staging live events in a limited numbers of venues and cities - primarily in the northeastern United States area. 10 shows were ran in Philadelphia, 2 in Wakefield, Massachusetts, 1 in Pittsburgh, and 1 in Queens, New York. In 2003, ROH expanded it's footprint into other areas of the United States, running shows in Ohio, New Jersey, Connecticut and Maryland. In Florida, ROH supported the promotion Full Impact Pro, which would serve as a sister promotion to the ROH brand until 2009. It also began to build its international identity by co-promoting an event with Frontier Wrestling Alliance in London, England on May 17th, 2003.

Things almost came crashing down for the promotion the following year when in 2004, the founder of ROH, Rob Feinstein, was implicated in an internet-based sting operating in which he allegedly tried to solicit sex from a person he thought to be an underage boy (but was actually an adult, posing as a minor). After this was publicized by some news outlets in the Philadelphia and surrounding area, Feinstein resigned from the promotion in March 2004. In the aftermath of the scandal, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) ended it's talent sharing agreement with the company, abruptly withdrawing all of its contracted wrestlers from their prior commitments to perform in ROH shows - including a major ROH draw AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels, who each either held or were about to hold ROH championships. Doug Gentry eventually bought Feinstein's stake in the promotion and later would sell it to Cary Silkin. ROH then started it's own mail-order and online shop store operations, which sold DVDs of all it's live events, plus shoot interviews (dubbed the "Straight Shootin' Series") with wrestlers and managers, DVDs of SHIMMER (which would serve as a second sister promotion from 2005-2010) and even some merchandise from competitors, such as Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG). Under Silkin, ROH began to branch out across the globe and expand its footprint. 

On January 23rd, 2007, Ring of Honor announced plans for a tour of Japan, resulting in a show on July 16th in Tokyo called "ROH Live in Tokyo", which was co-promoted with Pro Wrestling NOAH and another show on July 17th called "ROH Live in Osaka" in Osaka, Japan and was co-promoted with Dragon Gate.

On May 2nd, 2007, ROH announced the signing of a PPV and VOD deal with G-Funk Sports and Entertainment to bring ROH into homes with In Demand Networks, TVN and the Dish Network. The deal called for 6 taped pay-per-view events to air every 60 days. Because of the move to pay-per-view, TNA Wrestling immediately pulled it's contracted talent such as Austin Aries, Christopher Daniels and Homicide. The first pay-per-view event, titled "Respect Is Earned" was taped on May 12th and first aired on July 1st on Dish Network. 

ROH continued to expand it's footprint throughout 2008, debuting in Orlando, Florida on March 28th for Dragon Gate Challenge II, in Manassas, Virginia on May 9th for Southern Navigation and in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on July 25th for Northern Navigation. On May 10th, 2008, ROH set a new attendance record for the company with it's debut show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in the Manhattan Center in New York City. It had plans for shows in St. Louis, Missouri, Nashville, Tennessee and Montreal, Quebec, Canada before the end of 2008. On October 26th, 2008, ROH announced the departure of it's head booker Gabe Sapolsky and his replacement was revealed to be Adam Pearce. Sapolsky had been with ROH since the first show.

On January 26th 2009, ROH signed a deal with HDNet Fights for a weekly television program. The first TV tapings for Ring of Honor Wrestling took place on February 28th and March 1st, 2009 at The Arena (formerly known as the ECW Arena) in Philadelphia, PA, and the series would make it's premiere on HDNet on March 21st, 2009. After nearly a year of producing weekly TV broadcasts, ROH announced on January 20th, 2010, that it would commission a new championship belt, the ROH World Television Championship, to be decided in an 8-Man tournament beginning on February 5th, 2010 and ending on February 6th, 2010, on it's Ring of Honor Wrestling program. Due to a blizzard, however, the second half of the tournament was postponed until March 5th, 2010, when Eddie Edwards defeated Davey Richards to win the title in the finals. 

On August 15th, 2010, Ring of Honor fired it's head booker Adam Pearce and replaced him with Hunter Johnson, who wrestled for the company under the ring name Delirious. On September 8th, 2010, Ring of Honor and Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) announced a working relationship between the two promotions. 

On January 11th, 2011, Ring of Honor announced the ending of ROH on HDNet, after the completion of the promotion's two-year contract with HDNet. The final tapings of the HDNet show took place on January 21st and 22nd, with the final episode of ROH on HDNet airing on April 4th, 2011.

2011-2019: Acquisition by Sinclair Broadcasting Group and Expansion:

On May 21st, 2011, Ring of Honor and Sinclair Broadcasting Group announced that the broadcast carrier had purchased ROH, with the former owner Cary Silkin remaining with the company in an executive role. The promotion's programming began airing the weekend of September 24th, 2011, with a relaunched Ring of Honor Wrestling airing on several Sinclair owned-or-operated stations; the show aired primarily on Saturday or Sunday afternoons or late nights, or on prime time on some of Sinclair's CW and MyNetworkTV affiliates (as those networks do not run programming on weekend evenings). 

On June 22nd, 2011, Ring of Honor held their first live pay-per-view event, ROH Best in the World 2011, from the Nashville State Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tennessee. In September, Sinclair began syndicating ROH to other stations; the first deal was reached with WATL, a Gannett-owned Atlanta station, which began airing ROH on September 13th, 2014.

On October 27th, 2014, Ring of Honor announced a toy licensing deal with Figures Toy Company, which would see the distribution of action figures based on the ROH wrestlers, replica title belts and more. 

On May 27th, 2015, ROH announced a 26-week television deal with Destination America, beginning on June 3rd. 

On December 13th, 2015, ROH announced a working partnership with Southern California promotion Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), which would allow ROH contracted wrestlers to continue working for PWG. On August 30th, 2016, ROH announced the creation of a new championship belt, the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship. The inaugural champions were crowned in December.

On November 9th, 2017, ROH COO Joe Koff announced that ROH would be developing an OTT streaming service, similar to the WWE Network and Impact Wrestling's Global Wrestling Network. The service, called HonorClub, would be unveiled on February 2nd, 2018, and launched on February 19th. At ROH Final Battle 2017, on December 15th, 2017, ROH announced the creation of the Women of Honor Championship, adding it's fifth championship and it's first for its female roster.

On September 1st, 2018, ROH wrestlers Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) promoted and wrestled at ALL IN - an event that was produced in collaboration with Ring of Honor Wrestling, featuring wrestlers from numerous promotions that drew over 11,000 fans in suburban Chicago. This was the first U.S. pro wrestling event not promoted by WWE or the defunct World Championship Wrestling (WCW) to reach the 10,000 attendance mark since the 1990s. Also in 2018, ROH and longtime partner New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) announced a joint event at Madison Square Garden in New York City called the G1 Supercard, which was held on April 6th, 2019. The event quickly sold out, and became the biggest and most attended event in ROH history. 

2019-2021: Departures, Effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic and Hiatus:

In early-2019, Rhodes, The Young Bucks and several other talents left the company to start their own promotion - All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The departure of ROH's top talent for AEW was viewed by many wrestling journalists as the beginning of a decline for the promotion in 2019. Much of the criticism focused on the reign of then-ROH World Champion Matt Taven. ROH had fewer PPV buys and a reduced live event show attendance that year. According to Dave Meltzer, ROH's average live show attendance in 2019 was 1,082 - lower than it's averages in 2018 and 2017. In October 2019, ROH producer/agent Joey Mercury resigned in protest, criticizing ROH for a lack of creative direction as well as having no concussion protocol for wrestlers. Mercury would reveal that ROH allowed then-Women of Honor Champion Kelly Klein to wrestle after suffering a concussion during an October 26th, 2019 event. Klein sought medical treatment after suffering post-concussion-syndrome symptoms. She would not be booked for the rest of the year and her contract expired in December.

In January 2020, Ring of Honor re-signed Marty Scurll; the deal was said to be the most lucrative in ROH history. In addition to being a wrestler, Scurll was also made head booker, working with longtime booker Hunter "Delirious" Johnson. Scurll's deal allowed him to continue to make appearances in New Japan Pro Wrestling and the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), where he began a cross-promotional feud with NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis. However, during the Speaking Out Movement, Scurll was accused of taking advantage of a 16-year old girl who was inebriated. Scurll would release two statements in which he did not deny the allegations, but claimed the encounter was consensual. On June 25th, the promotion announced they had launched an investigation concerning the matters, and Scurll was removed from his position as head booker. By January 2021, Ring of Honor announced that Scurll was no longer under contract with the company after the two sides agreed to part ways. 

On January 31st, 2020, ROH announced the return of the ROH Pure Championship, with a tournament to crown the first Pure Champion since 2006. The following month, the promotion announced another tournament to crown a new ROH Women's World Champion, following the deactivation of the Women of Honor World Championship. However, in response to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, ROH would postpone live events beginning in March.

Television tapings for Ring of Honor Wrestling would resume in August at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena (formerly known as the UMBC Event Center) from the promotion's homebase in Baltimore, Maryland, but without fans in attendance. New episodes would begin syndication on September 12th, with a revamped format, and the beginning of the Pure Championship Tournament. 10 days prior, Ring of Honor launched a Free ad-supported television (FAST) channel on the Sinclair-owned streaming service Stirr called "ROH Best On The Planet". ROH Final Battle would be the promotion's sole pay-per-view event for the year 2020, while live audiences would make their return on July 11th, 2021 at ROH Best in the World 2021. 

On October 27th, 2021, Ring of Honor announced that it would be going on a hiatus following ROH Final Battle 2021 in December, with a return tentatively scheduled for April 2022. All personnel would also be released from their contracts as part of their plans to "reimagine" the company following Final Battle as a "fan-focused product". In the interim, the men's and women's championships were defended at events held by various other promotions, including Impact Wrestling and Jonathan Gresham's new TERMINUS promotion. 

2022-present: Relaunching of ROH and Tony Khan's Ownership:

On January 10th, 2022, ROH announced that ROH Supercard of Honor XV would take place at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas on April 1st. These matches were also seen on Ring of Honor Wrestling. In addition, it was said that Ring of Honor would continue to operate "like an indie", using non-contracted talents.

However, on March 2nd, 2022, during a broadcast of All Elite Wrestling's Dynamite program, AEW President and Co-Founder Tony Khan announced that he had purchased Ring of Honor from the Sinclair Broadcast Group, including its brand assets, intellectual property and video library dating back to 2002. Khan also announced that he intended on making the ROH library available to the public in its entirety. It was clarified through a press release issued that night that the acquisition was made through an entity separate from AEW and wholly-owned by Khan himself. In a media scrum following AEW's Revolution 2022 pay-per-view, Khan revealed that he eventually planned to run ROH separately from AEW, and also indicated that ROH would be used as a developmental brand for AEW.

On April 1st, 2022 at ROH Supercard of Honor XV, the first ROH event after the hiatus, Jonathan Gresham defeated Bandido in the main event to unify the ROH World Championship, and numerous other ROH titles changed hands on that night. The event also saw the return of former ROH champion and recently inducted ROH Hall of Famer, Samoa Joe.

On May 4th, 2022, the sale of ROH to Tony Khan was officially completed. ROH matches began to appear on AEW's programs and ROH Death Before Dishonor 2022 was the first ROH PPV under the new ownership. On December 10th, after ROH Final Battle 2022, Khan announced that ROH's weekly television series will be aired on the relaunched HonorClub streaming platform, beginning in 2023.

On January 18th, 2023, a special episode was taped for HonorClub which served as a tribute show to ROH mainstay Jay Briscoe, who had been killed in a car accident the day prior. 

On February 25th and 26th, new episodes of the relaunched Ring of Honor Wrestling program were taped at Soundstage 21 in Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. On March 2nd, 2023, the weekly series began to air exclusively through HonorClub. 

On December 16th, 2023 at ROH's TV tapings, Tony Khan debuted the ROH Women's World Television Championship. A tournament to crown the inaugural champion began in February 2024. 

CODE OF HONOR:

ROH distinguishes its image from other wrestling promotions through the "Code of Honor", a set of rules dictating how wrestlers should conduct themselves during matches. The Code of Honor aimed to infuse Ring of Honor's matches with a feel similar to Japanese professional wrestling.

When the promotion began, the Code of Honor included five "Laws" mentioned at some point during each ROH production. ROH considered it a moral requirement to follow these rules, which usually appeared in the following order:

1. You must shake hands before and after every match
2. No outside interference 
3. No sneak attacks
4. No harming the officials
5. Any action resulting in a disqualification violated the Code of Honor

The initial Code of Honor (COH) (especially in its first 3 rules) helped heels get over more quickly than in other promotions. The first rule applied especially to Christopher Daniels, whom the promotion pushed as it's first major heel. Daniels and his faction, The Prophecy, rejected the Code of Honor and refused to shake hands with anyone. The fourth and fifth rules emphasized the finishes of ROH matches - the vast majority of which ended decisively (with clean pinfalls, submissions and knockouts) - unlike what most rival promotions at the time were doing. On the rare occasion that a match did end with outside interference, with a "ref bump" or with some other traditional heel scenario, the live audiences reacted much more negatively than rival promotions' live audiences did. In ROH's early days, the on-air commentators even suggested (within kayfabe) that getting disqualified in a match may result in that wrestler never appearing in ROH again. 

In early 2004, ROH booker at the time, Gabe Sapolsky, began to feel that the Code of Honor had run its course. As a result, wrestlers no longer had to follow it.

However, the Code of Honor eventually re-appeared - revamped - as the following 3 rules:

1. Shake hands before and after the match if your respect your opponent
2. Keep the playing-field level
3. Respect the officials

FUTURE OF HONOR:

Future of Honor (FOH) is a series of events featuring the promotion's young wrestlers and trainees from the ROH Dojo. The term "Future of Honor" is additionally used by the promotion to refer to young wrestlers and graduates from the dojo system (regardless of gender)

WOMEN OF HONOR:

The ROH Women of Honor (WOH) division began in 2002, with women's wrestlers sporadically appearing on ROH events until the division was reformed into a permanent feature of the promotion in 2015. The term "Women of Honor" is additionally used by the promotion to refer to their female wrestlers and other female talent. The current top championship in the Women of Honor division is the ROH Women's World Championship and their other women's title is the ROH Women's World Television Championship. Previous women's championships used by the promotion include the Women of Honor World Championship, the SHIMMER Championship and the SHIMMER Tag Team Championship. 

ROH DOJO:

ROH used to run it's own professional wrestling school. Originally named the "ROH Wrestling Academy", and was based in Bristol, Pennsylvania. ROH announced in July 2016 that it was re-opening the school as the "ROH Dojo" in Baltimore, Maryland. Delirious operated as the head trainer of the school with Cheeseburger and Will Ferrara as his assistants. Previous head trainers of the academy included former ROH World Champion CM Punk, Austin Aries and Bryan Danielson. From 2005-2008, ROH used a "Top of the Class" Trophy to promote students on the main ROH shows; while wrestlers win and lose the Trophy in matches , the School's head trainer would chose the winners.

ROH HALL OF FAME:

On January 26th, 2022, the ROH Hall of Fame was introduced inducting the company's first 4 Hall of Famers plus one due to one induction being a tag team. Inductees include:

• Bryan Danielson (Former 1-time ROH World Champion, 1-time ROH Pure Champion and Survival of the Fittest 2004 winner)
• Samoa Joe (Former 1-time and longest reigning ROH World Champion (645 days), 1-time ROH Pure Champion and in April 2022 he also won the ROH World Television Championship (which he also held for a record-setting time))
• CM Punk (Former 1-time ROH World Champion and 2-time ROH World Tag Team Champion)
• The Briscoes - Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe (Former 13-time ROH World Tag Team Champions, 1-time IWGP Tag Team Champions, 1-time ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions (with Bully Ray), Honor Rumble winners in 2009, also Jay Briscoe was a former 2-time ROH World Champion and Mark Briscoe won the 2013 Honor Rumble)
• Cary Silkin (Legacy award winner for his time as ROH Ambassador (2011-2022) and Owner (2002-2011)

PROVING GROUND MATCHES:

As part of Ring of Honor's re-launch, the promotion added a new contest called the "Proving Ground" match. The match features an up-and-coming wrestler pitted against a seasoned professional who is also a title-holder. If the up-and-coming star can defeat, or at least last 10 minutes with the seasoned performer, the newcomer would become eligible to challenge the champion for his/her championship. Proving Ground matches were also relevant for new coming talent in ROH back in 2011 as well. 

PARTNERSHIPS:

Throughout it's over 20 year history, Ring of Honor has had several working agreements with various domestic and international wrestling promotions at differing times. ROH shows have had outside championships defended on them and on some occasions, wrestlers have held both ROH and outside championships simultaneously. 

Early on in ROH's history, ROH began a working relationship with Frontier Wrestling Alliance (FWA) in the United Kingdom, which saw the two promotions co-promote an event called Frontiers of Honor on May 17th, 2003. Then, in 2006, ROH and FWA would co-promote another event along with fellow United Kingdom promotion International Pro Wrestling United Kingdom for Frontiers of Honor II, which took place on August 18th, 2006 from White Oak Leisure Centre in Swanley, Kent, England.

In January 2004, ROH co-promoted an event with Jersey All Pro Wrestling (JAPW) called Collision Course, which took place on January 9th, 2004 at the Woodbridge Armory in Woodbridge, New Jersey.

In June 2006, ROH co-promoted an event with Full Impact Pro (FIP), an independent promotion out of Florida, which also served as a sister promotion to ROH, both booked by Gabe Sapolsky at the time. Their co-promoted event, Impact of Honor, took place on June 10th, 2006 from the Orlando Downtown Recreation Complex in Orlando, Florida. 

In February of 2014, ROH and New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) began a working relationship which would see talent exchanges and dual-promoted events between the two promotions. The first co-promoted shows, Global Wars 2014 and War of the Worlds 2014, took place in May 2014, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and New York City, New York respectively, with the two companies again co-promoting these events in May of 2015 - with the War of the Worlds 2015 taking place at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 12th and 13th and the Global Wars 2015 event taking place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada  on May 15th and 16th. As part of the relationship with NJPW, ROH announced it would promote two shows entitled Honor Rising: Japan 2016 in Tokyo, Japan in February of 2016. 

ROH and NJPW would team up again to co-promote Global Wars 2016 in Chicago, Illinois at the Frontier Fieldhouse on May 8th, 2016, and began the War of the Worlds 2016 tour which started May 9th, 2016 in Dearborn, Michigan at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center. Then on May 11th, 2016, they co-promoted War of the Worlds: Toronto, at the Ted Reeve Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Lastly, they co-promoted War of the Worlds: New York City at Terminal 5 in New York City, New York on May 14th, 2016.

In 2017, to start the year off, ROH and NJPW brought fans another set of Honor Rising: Japan events, taking place February 26th, 2017 and February 27th, 2017 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Then in May, they co-promoted the War of the Worlds 2017 tour, stopping in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on May 7th, 2017, Dearborn, Michigan on May 10th, 2017 and New York City, New York on May 12th, 2017 with the events taking place at the  Ted Reeve Arena, Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, and the Hammerstein Ballroom respectively. 

In 2018, ROH and NJPW co-promoted the Global Wars 2018 tour, which kicked off on November 7th, 2018 in Lewiston, Maine at Androscoggin Bank Coliseum. The tour continued on November 8th, 2018 in Lowell, Massachusetts at the  , then they hit Buffalo, New York on November 9th, 2018 at . The tour ended in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on November 11th, 2018 at Ted Reeve Arena.  

In 2019, ROH and NJPW teamed up again to bring fans another set of Honor Rising: Japan events at Korakeun Hall in Tokyo, Japan on February 22nd and 23rd. This would be the last set of Honor Rising: Japan events between ROH and NJPW. 

Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling also co-promoted the two promotion's debut show (and only show) to be held at Madison Square Garden in April of 2019. 

In August 2017, ROH and NJPW, along with CMLL and RevPro promoted the War of the Worlds: UK tour, with stops in London, England on August 18th, Liverpool, England on August 19th and Edinburgh, Scotland on August 20th. 

In February 2018, ROH and NJPW continued the tradition of holding two Honor Rising: Japan events on February 23rd and 24th, 2018 at Korakuen Hall. In May 2018, they hosted the War of the Worlds 2018 tour, hitting Lowell, Massachusetts at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium on May 9th, 2018, the Ted Reeve Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on May 11th, 2018 and the Royal Oak Music Theatre in Royal Oak, Michigan on May 12th, 2018.

In 2019, ROH and National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) co-promoted The Crockett Cup 2019 in Concord, North Carolina on April 27th, 2019 at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center. 

Later in May 2019, ROH and NJPW would team up for the War of the Worlds 2019 tour, hitting Buffalo, New York at Buffalo Riverworks on May 8th, 2019, Toronto, Ontario, Canada at Ted Reeve Arena on May 9th, 2019, Grand Rapids, Michigan at Deltaplex on May 11th, 2019 and Villa Park, Illinois at the Odeum Expo center on May 12th, 2019.

In August 2019, ROH co-promoted an event with MCW Pro Wrestling called Future of Honor 2019, which took place August 16th, 2019 at the MCW Arena in Joppa, Maryland. They would run a second event with MCW in September called Honor Games, which took place on September 21st, 2019. Then, a third event on December 14th, 2019 called Future of Honor 2019: Show 2. They would team up once more in 2021 on the July 24th, 2021 edition of ROH Week by Week, which was episode 69 of the series. That would be the final time the two promotions worked together before ROH was sold to Tony Khan in 2022 after the company took a hiatus following Final Battle 2021. 

Also in 2014, ROH and Preston City Wrestling out of the United Kingdom co-promoted the SuperShow of Honor, which took place over 3 days with 4 shows in total in Preston, Lancashire, England at Evoque Arena. These events took place between November 28th and November 30th. They would return for SuperShow of Honor II on November 27th, 2015 for another 4 events stretched over 3 days, these events taking place November 27th, 28th and 29th. 

On August 10th, 2016, Mexican promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) officially announced a working relationship with Ring of Honor. The two promotions were linked through their separate partnerships with NJPW. They would run Global Wars Espectacular Tour in 2019, running Dearborn, Michigan on September 6th, 2019 at the , Villa Park, Illinois on September 7th, 2019 and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 8th, 2019. 

In February 2017,. ROH partnered with United Kingdom promotion Revolution Pro Wrestling (RPW), producing joint events such as War of the Worlds: UK. 

In 2018, ROH entered into a short lived partnership with Southern California independent promotion Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG).

In 2019, Maryland based promotion MCW Pro Wrestling was made an affiliate of ROH, serving as an additional talent training grounds for ROH recruits.
